Skopelos is a Greek island in the western Aegean Sea and one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group.
Located east of mainland Greece, northeast of the island of Euboea, Skopelos is the shape of a saxophone, with the "neck" pointing northwest, and the "bell" lying on the east. Mountains dominate the western and eastern parts of the island.
Skopelos has an excellent coastline. The south-west side of the island has sandy beaches with calm waters.
