Porto Santo Line
Since the mid-nineties, Porto Santo Line has operated the popular crossing connecting the Portuguese islands of Madeira and Porto Santo in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The sixty kilometre journey between the islands takes around two and a half hours by ferry, with Porto Santo Line providing daily crossings with increased frequency during high season. The story began when the company won a public tender to establish a maritime link between the two islands in 1995, followed by the acquisition of a safe and comfortable ship named Lobo Marinho which was adapted to the Madeiran market, offering a luxurious interior with 1st class lounges. The ship was upgraded in 2003, offering even more comfortable surroundings and an unforgettable experience.
Lobo Marinho can carry up to a hundred and fifty vehicles and over a thousand passengers per crossing. On board you’ll find a first class lounge, several bars, restaurants, shops, a cinema, a games room, a dedicated play area for children and a sun deck ensuring you stay occupied and entertained during your time at sea.
