The Oban railway station is situated just fifty metres from the terminal alongside a few bus stops, making it even easier to travel to ‘the gateway to the isles’. In Oban, award-winning seafood restaurants come in abundance, so an exquisite meal is never too far away. The town also boasts some spectacular historic monuments, namely McCaig’s tower, an impressive circular structure overlooking the coast.

As the island’s primary port, it provides frequent crossings to the Isle of Coll immediately to the northeast, and to Oban on the mainland. The terminal can be found just off the B8068 on Pier Road to the northeast of Scarinish, the main settlement on Tiree. Free parking is available outside the terminal building and, inside, you’ll find a spacious waiting area with seats and toilet facilities.
