Brindisi Guide

The Italian city of Brindisi is located on the Adriatic Sea coast in the Apulia region of Italy. The city's port is a natural harbour and has played an important role in the city's, and wider region's, trade with Greece and the Middle East. On the north coast of the city particularly, there have been many important archaeological finds in the many sand dunes and on the beaches. Despite the port's economic benefit to the city, tourism still plays a major role in the city's fortunes. For visitors interested in agritourism, head inland from the city where wine (Wine Appia) and olive oil (Collina di Brindisi oil) is produced.

From the city's port ferries operate to a number of destinations. Ferries to the Greek island of Cephalonia are operated by Maritime My Way Ferries. There are also ferries departing to Paxi , Corfu, Igoumenitsa, Zakynthos and Patras in Greece.

Bar Guide

The town and major seaport of Bar lies on the Adriatic Sea coast in the south of Montenegro. Bordered by Croatia to the west, Montenegro is located in south eastern Europe and also has Bosnia and Herzegovina to the north west, Serbia to the north east, Kosovo to the east and Albania to the south west. Popular visitor attractions in the town include the Stari Bar which is also called the Old Bar. Unlike the newer parts of the town, Stari Bar is not located close to the sea, but on a hill instead, and was constructed as a fortified city by the Illyrians. There are the remains of two churches inside Stari Bar which attract a lot of visitor attention. These are the 14th century church of St. Catherine and the 15th century church of St. Veneranda. Additionally visitors will also find the 13th century Church of St. Nikola and a large aqueduct that supplied water to the town.

The city is also known for its summer festival which is a popular event for the town and makes Bar an important destination and interesting place to visit in Montenegro.
