Bella Bella Guide

Bella Bella’s Mcloughlin Bay terminal is located on the beautiful Campbell Island in British Columbia, Canada. BC Ferries offer services to three destinations out of the port, to Port Hardy, Klemtu and Prince Rupert.

Why go to Campbell Island?
If you’re seeking a remote Canadian getaway, then Bella Bella is the place for you. The area is an Indian Reserve and is home to the main community of Heiltsuk, the region’s indigenous people. The island, which is found just off the central British Columbian coast, is made up of beautiful hills and rainforest and is a great spot for some peace and quiet, or a little bit of exploring.

What does the port offer?
The port’s administration office, waiting room and washrooms are housed inside a portable trailer, which is set against the magnificent backdrop of the Great Bear Rainforest. BC Ferries offer a number of sailings along the coast to Klemtu, Prince Rupert and Port Hardy. There are around six ferries that leave the island every week with journeys varying between three and a half hours and nine hours depending on your end destination.
